Message from Karen
Many of you attended the Montana Regional Sleep Seminar 2011 this past September 22, 23, and 24, which was the first conference totally sponsored by your Montana Sleep Society. Sixteen expert speakers came from all over the country to share their knowledge with us and attendance records show that folks came from all over the country and Canada. Vendors at our conference were pleased with the turnout and hope they will be able to return for next year’s meeting. It is their generosity that helps make our conferences so successful!
The daily evaluation results reflect a very successful educational event. There were requests for “different topics” but very few suggestions for our 2012 meeting. So far, suggestions include: “More on AVAPS”, “Seizure Activity in the Older Adult”, “Following a Home Sleep Study: Start-to-Chart”, “QA in the Sleep Lab: What Works?”, “More on ECG”. Certainly there are other things that we all wonder/ponder about in the field of sleep medicine and technology that our peers would like to know about as well. Consider sharing your thoughts for possible lecture content.
The MSS Program Committee is gearing up for next year’s meeting and would really appreciate any suggestions you have. Please contact me or any MSS Officer/Board member with your comments and suggestions. Looking forward to hearing from you.
